Day 2 OKTOBERFEST FINALLY

After a long day of planes, trains, & buses we got up the next morning to make our way down to the Oktoberfest. A short walk from our hotel to the subway to downtown Munich (the Oktoberfest is only 2 blocks away) Many of the people on the subway are dressed in traditional Bavarian clothes.
Upon arrival at the Oktoberfest we immediately entered the first beer tent called the Hippodrome.
OMG I never saw a tent so big!! This one held about 3,000 people. But some of the bigger ones hold up to 10,000 people. We met some people at our table from Vermont and had a delicious lunch of Nuremberg

sausage with sauerkraut and of course Rick had his first liter of beer. The following pictures will show what a wild and crazy bunch of people there are attending this festival.
